Howdy Hooooo.

I have a few minutes to spare, so lets talk about what's Bean going on.

Well, business has been picking up DRASTICALLY, that is why I didn't have time to

post, posts.

We have been busy developing a SMALL PC for an advertising company.

It has the new ATOM CPU and is extremely cost effective. The first one was built

in a MOTHERBOARD BOX, then to get some Popper measurements we built

a box out of perspex. The next step is to get it LASER cut. To tell the Truth,

The laser cut box is supposed to arrive today (03Sep) So once the thing is 100%

complete I will show some pics.

Just one more thing:

We are in the proses of getting something that only US will be allowed to sell in Durban.

I am not really allowed to say anything as yet, but it is going to be SWEET!

Hi guys.
I know it's been a while since i had a chance to write something on the blog.
We were extremely busy, but I now have a few minutes to waste.

At the moment we are busy with an advertising campaign, that will hopefully
get us notices by more potential clients. We used 3 different newspapers, and buses.
BUSES! you say. YES! I say.
We are busy advertising on the back of 3 buses for a month.
So hopefully we will get even more busy.
We are also in the process of developing a SMALL PC for the advertising industry.
I Will show you some pics of the buses and the prototype PC we built using a
motherboard box. Cool he?

Just an update on OIL SPILL!!

Here she is with all her

lights and fannes on.

We also put cable sleeves

on all the wires and tubes

to get a more uniform

look.

We could'nt get hold

of mineral oil, so we

are gonna try some

white oil?#$?
Do'nt really know

anything about it.

But after some Googling,
I'm kinda sure it does'nt

conduct elektricity I think.

They use white oil in bakeries. It is oderlous and coulorless.

So that is the plan for the week to come.

Let's just start of by saying: WOW!!
This is harder than it looks!
BUT, it's also allot of fun trying
to come up with solutions to ALLOT
of problems.

Here is the case with the PSU and
motherboard. The PSU is not attached
yet. We are still running some tests
on some components.
You can also see the CD ROM and
hard drive. I think they look too
exposed, so we will have to come up
with a plan

that you can see in pic 1 & 2
(if you look close), the tin
white long thingeys.

Hopefully tomorrow we will get the oil, and see if it all
goes KABOOM!!!.....Hope not.

WE WERE ON 5FM!!!!

Can you believe it?
We were on the Fresh Drive!
We had one minute to sell Dominoe Computers.
But to tell you the truth I was so SCARED!
They phoned us at 2pm and told us to be
ready at 3:50. When I heard that I started
shaking.
We wrote a speach on paper and I rehersed
for an hour and a half. But when the called
me I started shaking! I even forgot to read
a fiew lines we wrote down.
But it was all good in the end.
So now we are Country Famous.
Sweet!

Oil Spill Next Step!

Testing for any leaks.
Lucky! No leaks!

The only thing I am worried
about is: Will the oil dissolve

the silicone or not?
WE'LL SEE!

Checking the circulation.
We only had 2 small leaks on

the plumbing parts at the base.
We just tightened the clamps

and every thing was A O K.

Here is the cool looking "inter cooler'

The reason we put springs in the pipes

is to avoid the pipes from pinching

on bends.

OILSPILL BUILD!

The Stuff we started with.
7 Sheets of 5mm perspex cut to size

We had to sand the edges to get a

perfect straight edge, and smooth
as glass.

Started gluing the sheets together using

special Perspex adhesive. Just hope

that it won't leak.

It's alive. We got everything square, and

OILSPILL is upright.

This is the base of the rig. The eight tabs are

there to elevate the copper tubes that will

help cool the oil.

Here you can get an idea of what it will look

like (sort of).

We did all of this on Wednesday the 16th, but

since then we didn't have time to go any further.

We got a bit busy with clients' computer so it's

on the back burner till we have time again.

We also put silicone on all the joints. This was

a messy operations. If it is cleaned up we will

take some pics.

Oil Cooled Computer!!

What's happening?
Yes you herd right. OIL!
This all started with an article in PC Format a few months ago.
They submerged a few working PC parts in cooking oil.
Then I did some more research on the subject, and found out
that it is not a trick at all or even hard. The reason why nothing
blew up or melted or got deep fried, is all down to one word: Dielectric.
The word is given to "stuff" that does not conduct electricity.
So I decided to go ahead and build on for the shop as well.
BUT, there are a few conditions. The thing, which we are now calling:
OIL SPILL, MUST look like a PC, and must be overclocked to within
an inch of its life.
Ok so that is all I want to say for now! I will Post some of the Pics that
we took during the building of the case.

Hi all.
Last night (05-04-08) I was given a stern talking to, cause I'm not
updating the Blog on a regulas basis. SORRY!

The last 2 weeks were HECTIC. Sales are starting to climb. And
more and more people are taking notice. Even as far as
Lagos Nigeria. The week that is comming, we are running a
SPECIAL on 4 computers.

THANKS TO THE GUY ON SOME FORUM!
For some reason Dominoe Computers are being discussed in
a gaming forum. And the strange thing is,
I DO'NT KNOW WHO IT IS!
If it is YOU then come in and I will Give you a
FreeBee.(1GB Flash Drive) (It's either that or a hug. You Chose!)

Why? Because I'm not working.
Yes, today is the last wor king day of the week. And we only
get back on Tueseday.
I am going away with the Ball and chain, and some friends.
This will actually be the first year in about 5 years that I am not
going to Splashy Fen.
Some would say I am getting to old. I say Screw you! (kidding) :)

Let me start by saying that if Escom was a man I would
kick him square in the nuts.
Today at about 14:10 the power @ Dominoe went of. Not really any
biggy. We have a generator that we carried outside. We powered 2 computers,
the radio, the lights at the bottom of the counter, the fax/copier/scanner/printer,
the DSL router and my cellphone charger with no problems. But this is not the point.
THE POINT:
It is now 19:40 and I am sitting at home with no power. So that means that I lost 4 hours
of a day thanks to ''the guy I would like to kick in the stinky patch". I realise that moaning
about it is not going to do anything about it so I won't.
O..... the point is this. I will post a picture of the generator n bit later, or tomorrow.

This was a n idea that I came up with after
buying an xtremely loud fan. Now you
can hear, feel and see before you buy!

Sweet!! It is FAN-TASTIC

Just a shot of our sign on the front of the
building. The "DOMINOE" part is coated
in paint that will rust in time. This will
hopefully give it a BIOSHOCK look.
